Checking personal data
- If you have been registered on the site, you will be able to check the personal information we hold about you by viewing the 'account' section of the website. You can update this information yourself if it is inaccurate.
- If you have not registered and wish to know what information we hold about you, please email enquiries@impactapplications.com with your request and we will respond as quickly as possible. If this data is inaccurate, you can ask us to amend it.
Protecting your personal data
- When you register or submit personal data on our website, the pages you view will be published by a secure server using SSL technology. This encrypts data sent between our web server and your web browser using the highest commercially available level of encryption (you may need to upgrade your browser to take full advantage of this). In the unlikely event that packets of data moving between our server and your browser are intercepted, or if a 'sniffer' programme has been maliciously installed on your computer, the data is useless.
- When we view your personal data on our web server, we will also use SSL encryption to protect your data as well as high level authentication.
- When you login to our website, we will store your username and password in a cookie which is saved on your computer. Your password is MD5 encrypted to prevent sniffer programs or other users of your computer from discovering your password. We use this cookie to process identify you when processing orders or providing access to our online help and advice. The cookie will time-out and destroy itself after a short interval of inactivity on the site.
- If you do not login, we may set an anonymous cookie on your computer to track your patterns of usage on the website for product development purposes. We will not tie this to any order you may place with us when visiting the site unless you are registered and logged in.
